Wow, it's been a year since I have posted basically. Alot can happen and change in a year.

Eriq just finished 3rd grade and got awards for Perfect Attendance, Straight A's, and Most Dependable in his class. He has some trouble with his multiplication when they are all mixed, but he tries. We will be working on that this summer and keep him up on his reading. He turned 9 in April and had a party at the park with alot of his friends.

Dominiq turned 4 in February and had a party at McD's. It was mostly family and a couple of friends. He is so very ready to start Pre-K in the fall. I really hope he will do well. He is not a calm natured boy like Eriq was at that age. LOL!

Kelley quit Budweiser and after some temp time with Baker Hughes, he got hired on. He really likes it out there, and I am so happy for him. He lost his father on May 23rd. It was a difficult time, and other things going on didn't help it at all.

I am still running the kickball league here in Tulsa and enjoying it. I have made so many wonderful friends! It gets a little frustrating at times, but I get help from Kelley and a few others when I need it. I have not had much time for scrapbooking, but I try to work it in when I can. I miss it, but I have so much going on that I just don't know where to start sometimes.

I have been wanting to do some house projects; painting, change out all 3 back doors, flooring in the master bath. I have friends willing to help which I am thankful for. Just have to get $$ to get materials.

I have been going through some changes, physical, emotional, you name it. I didn't think all the changes were bad, but a few others do. They believe there has to be a reason for the drastic change, something to blame it on I guess. People change, circumstances change, feelings change. You combine all of that then I guess it can be a big difference in a person. There are times that I question what I am doing or what I am feeling. I wish there was a crystal ball to look into to see if I am making the right decisions and choices.

Sorry it is a long post, but after not posting for a year I guess it isn't too bad. LOL! I will try to get some newer pics posted soon!

Hello all! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

Eriq got out of school on May 26th and will be going to the 3rd grade in August! Not that we had any doubts! He got certificates for straight A's, honor roll, something else, plus scored advanced on an end of year math test for his grade! He is enjoying his summer so far, but he misses his friends.

Dominiq has been a bit trying lately. I guess testing his boundaries. It isn't all of the time, just off and on. He has been speaking alot clearer and alot! LOL! He is loving listening to mine and Eriq's mp3's right now. He also enjoys his puzzles and movies.

I have been going through my scrap supplies to condense and make room. I got quite a bit accomplished last weekend! I have not had time to create lately, but I really hope to soon! The last few things I created were cards for my etsy shop- www.angelbuzz.etsy.com! So it has been a little hard for me to figure out where to start on scrapping my photos.

Eclipse comes out soon, can't wait! I need to figure when I can go so I can buy tickets! Post soon with some pics!

Hello! Sorry again that my posts are far and few between here the past few months. It's Facebook, I swear! LOL! It is just so much easier to update your status on there, but then I forget to update here.

Everything is going well for my new job as Customer Service Rep for the Tulsa WAKA League! I am really enjoying it and learning alot more than I thought I would! We are having the midseason party this week and gearing up for the Summer League! Right now the team I am on is in 3rd place, but that can change every week.

Kelley was given a new route at work yesterday, cleans lines for Budweiser. He wasn't given any notice of the change, just got a phone call yesterday morning before he left for work. He is now working in the NE Oklahoma corner. He doesn't care for all of the driving, his cell and radio doesn't get reception out there, just bored. I was really hoping this would be a fulltime position for him, but it isn't. He is just sticking it out for now, and I appreciate it very much. He has been taking classes for Veterinary Assisitant and he really likes it. He would love to get a job doing that!

The boys are doing great! Eriq only has like 12 days of 2nd grade left! He did bring home his 1st B on his last progress report though. O'well! Eriq's soccer team ended the season 4-4, which is their best! Dominiq is saying a nd doing all kinds of things, some he shouldn't be doing or saying too! Besides allergies, we have all been pretty healthly lately. Dominiq had some stomach thing for a couple of weeks. The drs drew blood, etc, etc.. We wonder if it is something in dark pop, so he hasn't had any more and has been fine. Who knows!

I have been having alot of fun creating cards with the wonderful Papertrey Ink products! Everyone at the NSD crop wanted to know about them. I have been posting my creations in my Etsy Shop! That is it for now! I hope everyone is well!

Hello! I keep wanting to post updates on things, but I just never really get the time to do what I want! So I will do this for now and update when I can!

I had a wonderful birthday despite the snow that weekend! I met a few of my girls out at the casino. We played a few games, ate a little food, and just had a good time together! I even managed to win some $$, about time! LOL! Kelley and I didn't get to go out that Saturday due to the crummy weather, but it was ok! My presesnt from Kelley was that I got order some items from Papertray Ink! My first order, I was so happy! I am hoping to play with it tonight!

I took on another job this month! Yes, I know I am crazy! LOL! I am now the Customer Service Rep for WAKA (World Adult Kickball Association) for the Tulsa, OK area! I have had fun with it so far! We have a pickup game this Thursday and our season starts April 15th! A maxed out league is 416 players. We got 330 this season! The last 2 seasons were at 210 and 265. So this is quite a jump and may add another league next season! Wow!

Dominiq has been doing well potty training. He is now in a toddler bed! We took his crib down this weekend. Eriq asked what we were going to do with it. He seems to think we need to keep it just in case we have another baby. Hahaha! :) Don't think so!

My Birthday!

I love my birthdays! I thought this morning, you know I don't mind being a year older, I am happy to have made it another year! I am 33 today, and I don't care!

A friend took me to lunch at El Chico's, and my boys took me to dinner at Logan's! My almost 8 yr old really wanted to tell the waitress it was my birthday so I would have to stand up for them to yee haw at me, so he did. I didn't mind though, it was fun and I know he enjoyed it. My 3 yr old kept saying (yelling) Happy Birthday afterwards. LOL!

Dominiq's sitter got me a big vase full of beautiful roses and carnations! My mom gave me a ring with mine and Kelley's names engraved into it! The guys at work sang Happy Birthday to me, pretty well too! Kelley never knows what to get me since we usually get what we want when we want it. So, I ordered some items from Papertrey Ink! My first order! I have wanted some of their stuff for awhile now! I love color and matching products! A friend told me recently that I should sell my paintings and cards on Etsy. I have been tossing it around in my head.

Tomorrow night I meet some of my girlfriends at the casino to play and have a few drinks. I have done this for about 5 or so yrs now. Then on Saturday, weather permitting, the hubby and I will go to dinner and a movie! Gerard Butler in Bounty Hunter, yum! LOL!

I will be posting some pics on here soon of different things! It has been forever!

My Baby Is 3!!!

Today is Dominiq's birthday! In a way I can't believe he is 3 already, in other ways it hard to remember too much before him.

He is so different than Eriq. Eriq was pretty much calm until he started school! Dominiq is a live wire about 24-7! He jumps and climbs on everything, has to touch everything. We were so worried about his speech. Ha! He went through the speech sessions, finished up, and now we wonder how to get him to be quiet! LOL! It is like 50 questions in 2-3 minutes!

He is a tough little guy though. I mean he was bit by a dog on his face when he was like 10 mths old. Then for him to jump in the tub last month and break both front teeth. Ugh! We will be working on getting his paci away from him for bed now, also to finish up his potty training.

Dominiq is a pretty cute and loveable little boy though! ;) He can be so sweet and loving. He is a total momma's boy. Kelley and I have been taking turns on who puts him to bed at night lately. When I put him to bed, he wants me to stay in there while he talks to me. LOL!

Well, that is it for now. We get our home computer back tomorrow, so I will hopefully have some pics up soon along with another post!

Hello! I apologize for not posting regularly. I was keeping up pretty well, but then Facebook happened! LOL! It seems like since I started on there, it is just so easy to post what's happening. Our computer at home wouldn't let me post for some reason, but that is where I have my pics stored. Our computer is in the shop and will hopefully be home in a few days!

My hubby's truck is also in the shop right now. :( He went out to go to work last Monday, and it wouldn't start. We though maybe the starter, but he couldn't get it off. We had it towed in to the shop. Today we find out it is probably the gear heads. Nice, not! Not sure how much it will be yet, so we may be a 1 car family for awhile.

Dominiq fell in the bathtub on January 18th. He broke his two front, upper teeth. Talk about scary. The dentist said they look fine though, no exposed nerves. We have to wait to see if they discolor to know if he had any nerve damage. So hoping not, praying all the time.

Eriq will be starting Spring soccer soon. He is doing awesome in 2nd grade, all A's! He reads quite a bit. Last quarter he finished his AR goal before everyone else in class!

I know I am a few days late, but it'll still work! I have been unable to post since there is something messed up with our home computer. It won't let us search or for me to login to blogspot. Crazy!

I hope everyone had wonderful holidays! I am always off work most of Christmas break, with the exception of coming in to do payroll 1 day a week. I enjoyed the days home with the boys! It was hard to get up this morning and get back into "routine". Luckily there wasn't any crying and everyone got up on time.

The boys loved Christmas! It was fun watching Dominiq really get into unwrapping his gifts since he now knows what is going on! The hardest part was keeping him to his toys so Eriq could enjoy his! Kelley and I got a new matress for our present to each other! I mean the one we had was only 12.5 years old!

We are still hoping Kelley will get on full time very soon! Fingers crossed! It would help alot since there has been craziness going on lately.

I did manage to get 3 layouts scrapped this weekend! I had been working on Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas, completed 2. Then the craziness started. I was happy to get the 3 done though! I hope to get those in my next post!

Hello! I said I would post a few of the items I had been working on! So here they are!

This is the first layout of myself! I really ended up liking it too! I know I need to do more for myself and will soon atleast for my boys! It is using Studio Calico's October kit!

Rememberance

October 21st marked 10 yrs since my dad passed away. I really meant to post that day with some pics of him, but I obviously did not get to it. I had not always been close to my dad. He and my mom divorced when I was 10. My sister and I lived with dad, and I basically raised my sister. He was never a bad parent. It's just that mom was my "friend" and let me do whatever I wanted. When I was a Jr/Sr in high school, dad and I became closer. Then I started working for him right before I got married, which brought us closer.
I had talked to him the last time on Oct. 20, 1999. He was at a training conference in Vegas. He called to check on me since I had a dr appt. Someone came into the office so I ended the call. I had wanted to tell him that I loved him, but I didn't. I know that he knew it though. The next day he was found in his room. He had had a massive heart attack. I remember being told right before the end of the day and calling Kelley to pick me up. He thought I was laughing, just the way I sounded. I handled all the funeral arrangements, and telling all of the family.
I can't say that it gets easier, but I thinks it helped that we had a good relationship. There are still times that I think I should call him about something! LOL! I miss him and always will. I think about him often and talk about him to my boys. I still get teary eyed that he is gone, but it is ok. I loved him and know that he loved me! I will try to post a few pics!

Change of Weather

Hello! I hope everyone has been well with all of this funky weather! I had a stomach bug the first week of September, a severe sinus infection the 2nd week, and a colon procedure Monday I am recovering from. Geez! I am getting my strength back though. I mean I didn't even have the energy to fix myself something to eat!

The dr did a flex sig or a short scope on me Monday to check the thickening they reported on in July. Dr said everything showed normal, thank goodness. The procedure wasn't like the most comfortable but bearable. It was the recovery afterwards I didn't care for at all. Just sick and bloated feeling for 2 days, better now though!

My hubby has changed positions at Budweiser as of last Friday. He didn't care to be on the trucks or to be a delivery driver. Now he is a Sales Support Rep and is being trained this week on cleaning Keg lines. He likes it much better and hopes to get a fulltime position soon.

The boys are doing just great! Eriq is enjoying school and soccer! His first game of this season he scored 3 goals and was very happy about it! Dominiq is saying so much more and is pretty good about going to his sitter's during the day.

Donna Downey!

Thanks to my BF, Lacey, I got to spend a few days with her and take all 3 of Donna's classes offered in Oregon! It was awesome! I found new techniques I liked and new products! Donna was wonderful teacher! She explained everything so everyone could understand and gave us time to work, no rushing! I don't think anyone got too frustrated at all, which is great! Thanks Lacey!

Hello all! I am sorry it has been so long in between my posts. It seems that since I talk to most or stay updated on Facebook, I am not on my blog as much. I am trying to change that though!

My husband has a job!! He has been off work since February of this year, he is very ready. He has enjoyed his time at home with the boys this summer, taking them to the splash pad and the park, and has gotten many things done around the house, but he is ready. He starts Monday morning with Anheuser-Busch! He will be working days part time at 32 hrs per week starting out until a fulltime position comes available, but they have great advancement opportunities and benefits. He is in an entry level position, trying all areas until AB decides which area would be the best for him. They work 4 days a week, either M-Th or T-Fri.

We have taken on a couple of other side jobs of cleaning and mowing my office and my sweeping and mopping a friends salon to help with what we are losing since he will be part time and putting Dominiq in childcare all week. I pray that it will not take Kelley long to get a fulltime position though!

We took Dominiq to an in-home childcare like 3 miles from our house on Monday. He stayed half a day. He did awesome! The lady was so shocked by how well he did and is so glad to have him! That makes me so happy and a lot less worried! He has been home for like the past year and a half either with Kelley or my sister in law. Before that he had only been out of the house for about 5 months at in home childcare. I know this will help him in all areas; speech, social, etc.

Eriq starts 2nd grade next Wednesday! He is excited to go back to school and see all of his friends. He is hoping to be in the same class as his best friend, Benjamin. We will find out on Tuesday afternoon ! He will be going to Ben's house after school and possibly sometimes before school depending on Kelley's schedule. So that will save us childcare, and he will get to play with Ben!

CKC starts here next week! I am not taking any classes but will go to the Vendor Faire and crop at A Memory To Crop in BA. The following week I fly to Lacey's, my BF, to take 3 Donna Downey classes! Whoo Hoo!

Not Much

Not many new things going on around our house. I entered a LSS double page scrapbook challenge, and I found out today that I won a class of my choice! It was fun and got me to do some scrapping since I have been more into cards lately! I will post some of the pics in my next post.

I got a plane ticket last week to fly to Oregon and spend a few days with my BF the end of August! I am so excited! Plus, we are taking 3 classes with Donna Downey while I am there! So Cool! I will get to meet my BF's family and see her hometown! Just so awesome! Thanks Lacey! ;)

Eriq has enjoyed his summer so far! We wish we could take a vacation, just do something, but with Kelley still out of work, it isn't possible right now. He has been so great! He has been taking them to the splash pad, to the park, and to the library! I know they are loving spending time home with daddy! I wish I could stay at home with them also, but I have to work. Shucks! LOL!

Dominiq has still been going to his speech therapy classes, usually every other week. We have seen such an improvement in his talking or trying to! This past week has been awesome!

I joined Weight Watchers a few weeks ago. I had done this on my own a few years ago and lost 55 lbs. I know I could do it again, I just felt like I needed more support and accountability this time. So my sister in law and I joined together to give each that push! In 5 wks, I managed to lose almost 8 lbs, and I am stepping up my workouts. I have been walking with a friend in the evenings and last night we walked just over 4.5 miles! Whoo hoo!

So, I have posted a few pics of recent happenings! I got a blue strip in my hair! LOL! I just wanted something funky! Then pics of Dominiq over the weekend. He woke up from his nap on Saturday with a slightly swollen eye, 2nd pic. The 3rd pic is on Sunday after he woke up that morning. The dr said it was either a bite or a blocked tear gland. He has been on antibiotics and is all better now. Thank goodness! The last pic posted is of Eriq explaining something to Dominiq, I think about frogs, so cute!

Hello all! I just thought I would post a card I made last night! I am still getting the hang of making cards. I tend to be a perfectionist on this as well as my scrapbook layouts, therefore it takes me longer than it really should to create! I would love to be able to crank them out as fast as my friend Bonnie does, but I am just happy with what I am able to do right now! I have a few others and will add them later! For this card, I used the a couple of stamps from the April KOTM from Unity. It is an awesome deal if you love stamps, which I do!

So, I had put off cutting Dominiq's hair for awhile, I just loved it! I know that he is getting hot though with the warmer weather with all of it. So I went to Sally's tonight and bought a bigger hair guard. It will take me some getting used to, I didn't cry but close! The first pic was a few days ago, the next two are after the cut and then all the hair I cut off. He is a little boy now...

Today was Eriq's last day of 1st grade! He got a perfect report card. He started the summer reading program last week and has already read 8 books in 2-3 days! I posted a pic of Eriq and his teacher showing the clipboard I made last night and a couple of close ups. Following that is the picture frame we did together for his teacher a few weeks ago for Teacher Appreciation.

Sick? In May?

Yes it's true! Kelley, Dominiq and I all had the sniffles last week. Kelley got over his pretty quickly, I just have my night cough, and Dominiq well... We took him to the dr yesterday since he hardly slept the night before. He has the mouth part of the hand, foot, mouth virus. He had this last year! This time it is worse though. We are having to mix Maalox and Benadryl to squirt into his mouth to coat the sores on his throat. Poor baby. He is doing better as time goes, so hopefully within a day or so he'll be back to himself.

Eriq's last day of school is next Tuesday. We will go to the awards ceremony tomorrow at his school. As of right now, he will come with me to work during the summer when Kelley goes back to work. He is excited, but we will see how long that lasts! He has really gotten into reading and wants to go sign up for the reading program at the library. His soccer season ended this week. The team finished better this season than any other. Eriq had about 10-12 goals, which is such an improvement!

I am going to do some creating this weekend and get somethings posted!

National Scrapbooking Day

Hello All! I thought I had better update while I had the chance!

I heard back from the nurse last Thursday on my pelvic ultrasound. I do have an ovarian cyst. I was so scattered after she told me, I just wanted to get off the phone. I have to go to the Gyn now to figure course of action. I will update when that happens, probably a couple of weeks. I was so down on Thursday night about it, worrying. I called the nurse back on Friday and found out it is 1.4 cm. so smaller than I was thinking. It may take care of itself after my next monthly, here's to hoping.

Eriq had a makeup soccer game Thursday night also. He scored 3 goals! Whup Whup! LOL! He was so proud of himself, as he should be! He is doing so much better this season, the hang of it and being more aggressive. They have 2 games on Saturday and their season will be finished. They may play in a tournament the following week though!

Eriq got his birthday gift this past Sunday, just a little late! LOL! When I find my camera cord, I will post pics! We went to the pet store on Saturday, and Eriq picked out his baby ferret! We paid some on him and left. Eriq went to stay at my sister's that night. Kelley and I both thought it would be cool to have Bandit at home in Eriq's room waiting for him when he got back Sunday. He was so surprised! He was thinking that we just had the cage! Silly boy!

Medical Update

I said I would update and here it is---There really isn't much to tell right now still. They said the ab ct was clear, no kidney stone. So if I had one when he diagnosed me, it passed before the ct. I asked why I was still having pain, they had me come in to see the dr. I remembered that when I was in 11th grade, I had a spastic colen. Which I found out last week after looking up ibs that is the same thing. Dr said to take Benefiber 2x a day until helped on that part. He also suggested a pelvic ultrasound to rule out ovarian cysts. Great-not! So I had the ultrasound done on Monday and was told I should hear from the dr in a few days. While the 2 ladies were performing the ultrasound though one said oh that looks curved, the other one agreed it did. I don't have a clue what they were talking about! Obviously whatever it was it wasn't supposed to be "curved"! So I am still playing the waiting game and will let you know when I do!

Party/Life

We had Eriq's birthday party last weekend at the park. There were about 20 kids there! OMG! That is why we have to do something like the park or our house, there are always so many kids! I am glad that Eriq is well liked by all the other kids though. I don't think any party with that many kids is too well organized, but we made it through! LOL! After everyone that we knew was coming got there we started with the Superman cupcake cake then on to the presents. The kids kept swarming Eriq. He was telling them "I'm getting crowded". LOL! After all of that, they took of to play for about an hour. It was a good party, Eriq says the best, and I am glad. I will get pics posted soon of his cake and the card made him.

Dominiq has had 3 speech therapy sessions. He has said a few words since we started going. We get down on the floor more to play with him. When we are telling him words or labeling things, we make sure he is watching our mouth. Some of the time he will move his mouth say some words! He has this fish puzzle that has a magnetic stick with it, but he just pulls the pieces out with his fingers. He loves this puzzle! Every time he puts one back in, he points to it so we will tell him what color it is. When he completes it we clap and say yay!

Kelley has still been on the look out for a job. He has been told about a few upcoming projects; a couple close, one in Wichita, and one in the Cayman Islands. Hmmm, sounds good! LOL! He has been off for over 2 months, and I am sure he is ready to get back to work. Once he starts working though, we have to put Dominiq in childcare and find something for Eriq to do over the summer.

I have still been having some pain not so much nausea though. I finally called the dr and said hey can we check if I have a kidney stone and if so that it will pass. I mean geez! So I went in for an ab ct on Thursday morning. The tech told me it would be 24 hrs, to call the dr on Friday at 1 if I haven't heard from him. So I called the dr. The nurse calls me back and says oh no it's never in 24 hrs. She said she'd put my chart on her desk and call me as soon as she gets the results. I said I had told the guys at work that I hope it isn't anything too serious to have to just wait to find out about! OMG! Last night I got fever, chills, shakey, and pain. Nothing else happened, today I am just sore inside like I have been for a few days. I hope it isn't just stuck. I will post when I find out something! Have a great weekend!

My "Baby's" Birthday

My oldest turns 7 today! He was so excited last night and this morning! We are having his party out at the park this Saturday after his soccer game. I am just starting to get calls for the party, so we'll see how many are able to come. He usually has quite a few kids at his parties hence having it at the park vs Incredible Pizza or something like that! I made a birthday card for a friend over the weekend, whose birthday is also today. He saw it and said he wanted me to make him one too. I stayed up last night and did just that for him! I used the most stamps on his card than I have used one any 1 project - 14!! LOL! He liked it and thanked me this morning!

and I apologize. I have been in a state of uncomfortable tightness and nausea for almost 2 weeks now. After going to the dr a week ago, I found out I had a kidney stone, hopefully just 1. Most of the time I am fine, there have been a couple of days though that I really thought I was going to be sick. Kelley went through this last May and a couple of guys at work have recently also. I am just hoping and praying that it will pass soon without too much distress.

I have started a Facebook page! I update on that quite a bit. It is fun to talk to people from school whom I haven't seen in years!

Dominiq had his 1st speech therapy session this morning. It went well! We got some info and have another appointment next week. We are to try and work on getting him to make some consonant sounds since he usually says vowel sounds. I have been joking that after a few sessions we will probably be asking her to reverse it! LOL!

Eriq has done well with soccer this season so far. They have had 3 games and won the 1st 2! The 2nd one the team didn't even have any subs meaning all 4 kids had to play the whole game and won!! He has made a few goals and was very excited! I just over a months time Eriq has pulled out 3 teeth! I will post his pic soon! LOL! He will turn 7 next Wednesday on April Fool's Day! We will be having his party at the park next Saturday, hoping the weather will cooperate!

This is what Eriq told me the other day- Mom you don't know what it's like being in school, being named Eriq with a Q, and having your birthday on April Fool's. Nope I don't!! He is too funny!

Birthday, but I don't want to cry!! I am just glad I feel better. Yesterday I started feeling like crap, laid in bed most of the evening reading a book. Today, I have felt fine so far! We took the boys to the zoo this morning. We were so glad we went when we did! When we left the lines were very long. Eriq, the older one, just left to go stay the night at my sister's. So, now I get to pick whatever I want for dinner! Hmmm....not sure yet! I am 32 today, but I don't feel like it, not that I know what it really "feels" like! I will be going out with a few girlfriends on Friday night to the casino for a few games and some drinks!

Not too much! LOL! I have been so busy I just realized I hadn't updated on Dominiq's hearing test.

He passed or is within normal limits. She wants to see him back in 6 months for a recheck. We are supposed to play with his ears so he isn't as sensitive about them being touched. He starts his speech therapy sessions on the 27th of this month. He has been saying a couple of more words, so I am not too worried. I think he will benefit from the sessions though.

Kelley still hasn't started working, but I have faith that something will come up soon. I know he is probably going stir crazy waiting around, but it has given him time with the boys. We are going to start taking Dominiq to childcare this week a few hours at a time to get him used to it since he will have to do that when daddy starts working. Kelley's sis got a job, so we no longer have a caregiver, hence the childcare.

Eriq's soccer games started last Saturday. I was home with Dominiq. Eriq scored 2 goals and the team won by 1 point! They got new uniforms this season, like flourescent orange! I will post a pic soon!

I celebrate my 32nd birthday next Wednesday the 18th! My mom asked if I was going to be 30??? LOL! Not that I feel 32. I sometimes have to think about my age cause I really don't care! My sister's bday is the following Sunday the 22nd. We are going with some of our girlfriends/family to the casino next Friday night. We have done this the past 3-4 years. Just play a little, get a drink, and chat. Usually a fun and relaxing time!

Dominiq had his followup yesterday on his ears. The infection is all gone, thank goodness! So his hearing test is scheduled for next Friday, March 6 at 9:30. I have a call in to the speech therapist to get that set up also. He has started saying mom-a and has said da-da and dad-e. So he is improving. I am hoping everything is fine with his ears and that a few sessions will be all he needs.

Eriq started soccer practice again this week. There are 4 of the same kids on the team, including Eriq. They are keeping their team name but getting new uniforms. He lost a tooth about a week or so ago, top left. His right is lose but not lose enough to pull yet. He said it was bothering him last night. I had him lay in my lap so I could wiggle it some. LOL!

Kelley signed up for unemployment. He talked to head guy on a couple of jobs last week and should be hearing from him very soon on work. We were having such a hard time making it before when he was working, I don't know how we have made it this far without him working. Thanks to God and my mom, I know! If he goes to work in Oklahoma City, we have friends he will be able to stay with there. So it will make it a bit easier.

I have been doing pretty well on my weight loss. My sister in law and I joined the All American in Owasso last night! I am so looking forward to getting back in the habit of using the elliptical machine!! I know Iam crazy, but I love those! I have managed to lose 8 lbs this month, which I am so happy with. Now that I will be working out, should really help it go faster.

I have managed to get a pic a day most of the time for my Project 365! I have been making my own Week Of cards for it by stamping that and glimmer misting the cards. I have about 20 colors, so I can do a lot of variation! I did my first layout with a pic of Kelley and I a few nights ago using this months kit from Studio Calico. I think it turned out cute and will post it soon!

Dominiq's 2 yr Check

Ok, so I got this and the hearing screening scheduled yesterday. His hearing test was originally scheduled for next Tuesday at 9:30. Until Kelley took him to the Dr this morning for his 2 yr check up. Dominiq has a double ear infection!! I don't understand it. Eriq would get fevers and act cranky when he had his. Dominiq just doesn't eat as much and digs at his ears, which is why I wanted to get him in and get them checked. Now he is on Zithromax for 5 days. The Dr was very surprised he didn't qualify for the Soonerstart program. She is checking into a few things and who will take our insurance. His hearing test is going to be rescheduled now. I will update as we go...

Dominiq's Evaluation

Just to update on Dominiq's evaluation this morning. The ladies said he is very bright and very cute. LOL! He passed everything except what we worried about-the expressive communication. He scored at a 14 month level being 42% delayed. On the receptive, him understanding others, he scored at a 29 month level. With him only scoring 42% delay he does not qualify for the Soonerstart program. Unless something shows up on his hearing test which is scheduled for next Tuesday morning. We are going ahead and scheduling some speech therapy though. If he is delayed on his hearing then he will be accepted into the program and his speech therapy paid for by them. The therapist will work with us though, so we are hoping they don't find anything wrong with his hearing. They also said to have his vision checked at his 2 yr checkup since 1 eye seemed to have less mobility than the other. We don't feel there is anything to worry about on his seeing or hearing, but we will have them checked just to make sure. I will update as we go along.

Happy Birthday to our sweet boy Dominiq! He turns 2 today! In some ways it seems he should be much older! We had a family party on Sunday at our house, not sure if he really knew what was going on! He sure loved the cake though! He even came in to the living room twice yesterday carrying the cake box! Luckily there wasn't much left and it didn't open!

He came into the bathroom on Saturday morning saying momma! He has said something like mom mom mom before when he was upset but this was the first momma. Talk about being excited! LOL! The Soonerstart people come to our house tomorrow morning to do the evaluation on him since he is saying words. The more time I have had to think about it though, I agree that he just isn't ready to talk. We will go ahead with the eval though since it is cheduled and free. I do want to make sure there isn't anything to worry about. I will update on that later!

Sickly...Again..

This stinks! We were all doing great. I had been bragging how Eriq hasn't missed any school for being sick, which is good for him, also how Kelley hadn't ever had strep. Then Thursday I got a call that his tummy was hurting him. So he left school early, but he was fine besides being a little snotty. We all got the sneezes. I stayed home Friday with Kelley and the boys. Kelley was going to go to a movie, but he went to the dr instead. He has strep and a virus! So we are all just waiting to see if any of the rest of us get any of it. I have not had a sore throat, yipee, just sneezing and coughing. Dominiq is a little snotty. Eriq is about all over his. I swear if I get strep again like I had it last month Iam going to find out the cost of getting my tonsils out...

Well, Kelley will more than likely be leaving in a couple of weeks to work in Louisiana. It may be 3 weeks at the most. I still think we will be ok, just time for adjusting. We are both looking forward to getting things paid off, have some breathing room. He is still really worried about how Dominiq will react when he comes back after a couple of months.

To all of you scrappers - how do you organize your paper? I don't have a whole lot of room, but it seems like alot of paper! LOL! I would so love to get my things organized in a better way. I was thinking of trying to get some paper trays for my paper. I bought a few buckets for others things, might need more though!

Hate Being Sick

Ok so just to update on things. I took Eriq in on Saturday morning to get his cast off. I think the dr was being a little cautious, wanting Eriq to were a split if he is being too rambunctious, just to give it more time. He was so happy to take a bath Saturday night! While I had him at Urgent Care, I kept thinking I should get checked, but I didn't. Stupid me!!

I got so bad on Saturday. Chills, sore throat, achy. I thought oh great I had my flu shot, what's going on. When I got up Sunday morning, it hurt sooo bad to swallow, I wanted to cry. So, I went in to Urgent Care, and got in pretty quick. The dr couldn't believe how my throat looked. Needless to say I have strep. Ugh.. I got an antibiotic shot plus pills and some suckers to numb my throat. They didn't work too well for my throat, but they numbed my lips. LOL! I was feeling better last night, thank goodness.

Today I took Dominiq to his dr. Making our rounds I'd say. He had been congested all last week, and over the weekend it got much worse. He has a sinus infection! She said little ones don't usually get them, but he was sick so long it got worse not better. So, now he is also on antibiotics. That took about $130 that could've been used on other things. O'well! Atleast I'll get most of it back in a few weeks. I guess that's it for now....

We decided to go into Tulsa to eat tonight at Promenade. There wasn't much of a line for Santa, so we thought what the heck. Oh yeah no! Dominiq was NOT gonna have it! This was his 1st real Santa visit so it's not like we should've expected it to go real well! I posted pics! The one w/ Dominiq crying was the 1st one taken. Then Eriq with Santa after I took Dominiq. The last one, we thought we'd try again. Dominiq was not gonna let go of me to sit on Santa's lap. So we sat him next to Santa on the present. Love his facial expression! LOL! I usually don't buy their pics, but you couldn't take free ones any more. Enjoy! LOL!

Eriq & Christmas

Eriq went back to Urgent Care on Saturday. They took xrays through the cast and said there is new bone growth and he's healing just fine. He will go back on the 20th and should get the cast off. He is so ready! The cast hasn't slowed him down much though!

I organized my scrap area over the weekend. It needed it so much! LOL! I love patterned paper, esp the theme for the current time! After I got my paper organized and my table mostly cleaned off, I worked more on Christmas cards and ornaments! I have to make sure to take pics of my stuff so I know what I've done! I have been working on 2008 albums of the boys to give as gifts to family. I have finally picked the pics to put in them, I just have to make it to Walmart to get them printed off! I hope to post picks on some of my cards and ornaments soon!

I have like 2 gifts left to buy, except for dh! My hubby put gas logs in our fireplace over the sumer, so we had someone come out on Friday to make sure we had no leaks. Everything was fine on it, and we love using it! We'll see how the gas bill is though! LOL! Now we are ready if we lose power like we did last year, not that I want to though! I hope everyone is doing well!

So I took Eriq back to Urgent Care this morning around 11:15. We finally left around 2:30 with a green cast on his arm in place of the brace. They xrayed it, and they were happy with the healing. They said since he is young and active and the swelling has gone down , they wanted to go ahead with the cast for further protection. He has done very well with it, and I don't think it will be any problem. He is supposed to go back in another 2 weeks to have an xray through the cast just to be sure of the progress. So with keeping it on for 4 more weeks, he will get it off the weekend before Christmas. I had planned on doing Christmas pics to send out with Christmas cards, but I am not sure if we will now or not. Course if Eriq wears a green shirt, his cast will blend in! LOL! I will update if anything happens! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Celtic Thunder

A few months ago my mom was so happy that a certain group was coming to the BOK. She wanted me to buy 3 best available tickets, which she was going to pay for, for her, myself, and my sister. I had never really heard of the group, but she was very excited. So, I got the tickets, she was happy. I still did not know anything about Celtic Thunder until we saw them on Wednesday night at the BOK. OMG!! They were great! I love their show and their music! They each have their own wonderful quality. I really can't say enough about them! We bought both cd's and Paul's solo Christmas cd! I think I know just about every song, and I know who sings each one and each part! LOL! I have added them to my friend list and changed my music playlist on my myspace page to a few of their songs! I really hope I am able to see them perform again!! They have videos on YouTube if you want to check them out!

On another note, I take Eriq back in this morning to get his wrist rechecked. I will post later on what we find out!

Baby Crew Update

This is the latest update on the baby in my last post:
Just wanted to be sure that Maegan was okay with me posting updates on Crew on my blog before I posted an update.

Here is the latest from Maegan:"Crew is stable; his vitals are good but he still cannot breathe optimally on his own. His liver has begun to shrink as the chemo destroys the cancer cells, but his kidneys are producing high levels of acid as the cells are flushed out.. this is both good and bad as it means that the cancer cells are being flushed out, but also that his kidneys are taking a beating. He had a genetic test done that came back positive for a gene that meant it's an agressive form of Neuroblastoma, so he is now being given a medication that is helping his red blood cells/bone marrow to come up faster so that they can start the 2nd chemo treatment faster (2-4 days sooner than expected.)

We have a long road ahead of us. He is on a regular ventilator now but still kept unconcious to give his body a chance to heal. He moves his legs and arms around in response to touch. Obviously I can't hold him because he is hooked up to so many machines; he has a tube or catheter in every orifice in his tiny body. He has an arterial catheter sewn into his right thigh to monitor his blood pressure and a tube sewn into his left side to help drain a large pocket of fluid.

Jerry and I are taking shifts with him so that one of us is always there with him around the clock. I am beyond exhausted but I can't stop to think about it or I will just break down. Please keep me in your thoughts- I really appreciate it.

Please continue to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers at this time. They need a miracle and we are praying that the One who heals will help comfort the family and Crew during this time.

Beseeching Prayers

Alright everyone, I have an earnest and desperate request tonight.

My friend Maegan Buchanan, the owner of Little Red Scrapbook, needs us to band together in prayer. Send this along to your church groups, your prayer partners, friends, family, whoever. I know that the Lord hears us when we cry to Him. He hears our prayers and this family needs prayer. So, let us lift our voices in unison to Him - the one who heals.Maegan's baby boy, Crew, was rushed to Vanderbilt hospital in Tennessee last week. He underwent surgery and a biopsy as there was a mass on his liver. The results came in last week and Crew has Stage 4 S Neuroblastoma, which is a malignant tumor in his liver. There was a lot of pressure on his lungs due to the swelling of his liver. He is going to have 2 rounds of chemotherapy that will assist in shrinking his liver and destroying the cancer cells. The first round was administered Friday night and he was resting comfortably.

Jennifer, a fellow design team girlie, called the hospital to check on them. She didn't get them, but got a new family. So, we were a little excited that maybe they got to go home! However, he took a turn for the worse last night and had to be intubated. He is unconscious right now, but resting comfortably and his vitals are strong. He is breathing with the assistance of an oscillator at this time. So, please....keep this family and baby boy in your prayers! Things are looking so hard right now. I have cried so many tears for them. He is just 6 months old - 2 months younger than my Layne.

I pray for the Lord's mercy and healing in this baby's life. Join with me please!

1st Broken Bones

Well, it has happened. Eriq got his first broken bone today. We went to a baby shower at 3 today. He went outside to play with another little boy. He was on their playset talking to this boy, and when he turned I guess his hand didn't make contact with the other side and off he went. He used his hands to brace himself and broke his wrist. He came in crying and told me what happened, we left not long after that. I took him to Urgent Care where they did x-rays and told us he broke 2 of the 8 bones just above the wrist. He had been ok since I gave him Tylenol, but when he heard that he cried. My poor, sweet boy. He had also been saying the whole time how he was glad it wasn't Dominiq this happened to (awww). I know it could have been much worse, so I am thankful it was just this. He is wearing a brace, which he is already getting tired of. He goes back in 2 weeks for a recheck, then may have to wear the brace at the most another 4 weeks. The lady who was throwing the baby shower called to check on Eriq and was very apologetic. I appreciated it. She said if there is anything we need or anything they can do, just let them know. I don't think there will be, but it was nice for her to offer. Eriq has some Tylenol with codeine in his system now and just went to bed. So pray for a great and speedy recovery and that he has a good nights rest. I'll update more later.

Well, Kelley told his brother today of his switching jobs come February. His brother was actually calm about it from what I was told. He would like for Kelley to stay as long as he can to train whomever he hires. I am sure Kelley feels a weight off his shoulders now that is over. Just wanted to update!

Job & Christmas

So, Kelley is telling his brother today about his switching jobs. Depending on how it goes will decide on what Kelley will do right away. If his brother is fine and understanding, Kelley plans on staying there to finish or train next person until February. If his brother has a caniption (sp?) and tells him to go ahead and leave, then Kelley will go work in Guymon, OK until the middle of January. I pray we are doing the right thing and that it helps as much as we expect it to. He told his parents last night. His dad was understanding while his mom didn't have much to say. From what I have heard she doesn't sound too happy about it. Guess it's good she doesn't make our decisions.

Has anyone started on their Christmas shopping? We have started but haven't gotten too far yet! I am making mini albums for the family, pics of the boys. I have one painted and main paper put on. Eriq helped me pick out which sides of the paper he liked for the albums, lol! Now I need to look through pics to decide which ones to put in the albums. That could take some time, we'll see! I am going to our Christmas cards this year also (or try)! So lots to do and only what a just under 2 months to do it in!

Baghdad & Halloween

He's not going to, but he was told with this new company he could go to Baghdad for a month. We think just going a few states away is enough for a start. He is going to get paperwork for the new company this weekend and talk to his brother next week sometime. So hope that goes as well as can be expected.

If you have kiddos, what are they going to be for Halloween? Eriq, 6 yr old, is going to be Iron Man, and Dominiq, 20 mth old, is going to be Murray Wiggle from the Wiggles. We have a Wiggles guitar from when Eriq was younger, and Dominiq didn't like any costumes over his head, so.... This way he doesn't know he is dressed up, and we can reuse the clothes! If I don't post tomorrow~~ Happy Halloween!

Wrong Time Frame & SC Reveal

Ok, so I was wrong on what I figured for the Louisiana job. Kelley found out tonight that it would be 1 yr and a half! The friend telling him about it says he works a couple of months then comes home for a month then goes back, etc. So...that might be what he'll do. He might be able to go to OKC to work in a few and get started, but he still has to talk to his brother about all of this, and that is what he is afraid of. He's not sure what will happen to the company after he leaves.

For all the SC gals~ Reveal is in just less than 3 hrs! Whoo-hoo!

Decisions

So, my husband has been thinking for awhile that he might like to get a new job or career. He has worked for his brother for the last like 14 years or close to it. He likes it, he just knows he won't be moving up any farther than he has already, Shop Foreman. He has been thinking about becoming an electrician for a little while now. One of his friends is an electrician and just got back from a job he finished up in Missouri. He and Kelley talked about if Kelley would be interested in traveling for work. There is a job coming up after the first of the year in Louisiana. Kelley, my husband, said he wouldn't rule it out, but he would have to think about it and talk to me of course. From what it sounds like at the moment it would be like an $8/hr raise plus overtime and per diem. He will find out more info this week; how long, hours, etc.

I can't say I am all for it, but it would be nice to get caught up on stuff and pay other off. He is worried that our 20 month old would forget him. I don't think he would, I'm thinking it would be for 3-4 months. I told him we'd have to add picture messaging to our cell plan. I know he is ready for a change, and I do believe we'd be fine if he did this. When I was little and until I was about 17, my dad traveled alot for work, so I am used to it in a way. But we have been married for almost 13 years, working same hours practically, and always spend time together. So it would be a change. I told him my mom raised my sister and I while dad was away at work. This didn't help him too much since he knows my parents divorced some due to the traveling and trust issues. I told him that I believe we have a stronger marriage than my parents did to begin with, so I am not worried about , esp. since we trust each other.

Sorry so long, just had to get it out. I'll update on it as I find out more.

It's Getting There!

Well, after a day I have gotten quite a bit done to my new page, with help! Thanks to mommy2alex for the great layout link! Next I would like to know how to get the places on the side for what I am reading, blogs I follow, and scrap sites. Any help on this ladies?? Thanks for my first 2 commenters! I have a myspace page, but it's seems like more people are doing this, for scrap world any way! After reading a link posted on StudioCalico's message board about typepad vs. blogspot, I thought why not! Here I go...! Have a great weekend! Just think StudioCalico chicks, after this weekend comes Monday night and the "Reveal"!
